Part 946. New affections upsetting old relationships

When we show affection on a person or thing, it should not be at the expense of another person. We should not only ensure that, we should also ensure that we do not appear to do so.

In fact, we should go out of the way to show that the new affection does not, in any way, affect the earlier relationship. Because people imagine that they are no more the no.1 priority, and they have started losing the consideration which was available to them all along.

Sometimes, this is an unintended side effect of a new affection or new relationship.

This also creates hatred for the new object on which the new affection is shown. When this object is a living person, they wonder what they did wrong and why somebody hates them so much, when they have done nothing.

This is one of the main reasons for relationships souring, and people secretly hating other people for no fault of theirs.

Examples : Mother with newly married son. Children with newborn siblings. Friendships. People with new pet, hobby or job.
